Just my two-cents, but consider this: it's not about the color of the fabric, it's about what color best complements the shade and tone of the skin. This girl looks fantastic in scarlet lingerie, but red is tough to pull off for a lot of us, regardless of gender. That toasty-warm-golden skin looks great with this shade of red, but someone with lower melanin-count (like me) might look pasty (like me) and kind of washed out...red can overwhelm other colors. It also helps if you're young and/or in great shape, like this lovely lass.
